Undergraduate students of the Federal University of São Paulo; both genders; age above 18 years
Age under of 18; current or previous gestation within six months; previous or current use of melatonin analogues; current or previous use of beta-blockers and selective or non-selective inhibitors serotonin reuptake that interferes with melatonin biosynthesis; incomplete questionnaire responses; history of mental disorders; regular practice of mindfulness, meditation, yoga; prior diagnosis of sleep disorders (eg obstructive sleep apnea).

Name Time Method Phase adjustment of circadian rhythms assessed by the actigraph ;Increase of melatonin secretion assessed by urinary secretion;Phase adjustment of clock genes assessed by the Real Time PCR

Name Time Method Reduction in overall sleep quality scores below 5 assessed by Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index<br><br><br>subjective stress reduction (Stress Perception Scale) and cortisol levels, improvement of self-pity above 2.5 in the Self-pity Questionnaire and percentage of quality of life. Reduction of negative affects and increase of positives.;Reduction in overall mental health below 8 assessed by the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale;Reduction in subjective stress assessed by the Stress Perception Scale;Reduction in salivary cortisol levels;Improvement in self-compassion global scores above 2.5 assessed by Self-Compassion Scale
