(1) Adult patient of 19 years old or older
(2) Chronic periodontitis patient who has one or more teeth showing proximal clinical attachment loss of 6 mm or more
(3) Patient showing bleeding on probing in more than 25% of the entire dentition
(4) Patient showing periodontal bone loss on the radiograph
(1) Patient less than 19 years old
(2) Patient having uncontrolled metabolic systemic disease (i.e. uncontrolled diabetes mellitus)
(3) Patient having a past medical history of radiotherapy or chemotherapy in the craniofacial area
(4) Patient having a past medical history of taking medication which inhibits bone metabolism (i.e. bisphosphonates or denosumab) within the last 4 months
(5) Heavy smoker (over 20 cigarette per day)
(6) Pregnant or lactating patient
(7) Patient having a past dental history of periodontal treatment within the last 6 months
