简要总结
AcuteEncephalitis Syndrome (AES) is treated through institutional managementprotocol (IMP) with considerable mortality and 30-40% survivors usually havelifelong sequelae. This study was undertaken from August 2012- February 2013 atPaediatric ward of B.R.D. Medical College, Gorakhpur, to evaluate homeopathictreatment (H) as an add-on to IMP in reducing the mortality, disability, and toevolve a group of useful medicines along with their indications in treatingsuch patients.
One hundred and fifty one children diagnosed with AES fulfillinginclusion and exclusion criteria were enrolled. Preliminary observational study shows that Homoeopathicmedicines with IMP have some role in reducing the mortality and morbidity in AESpatients. Further, study on comparable groups is suggested.
