This study aims to explore how children of mentally ill parents are coping with their daily occupations like school, play. And to study how these children are managing their emotions and how they get along with other children and adults in social situations.

Inclusion criteria for Qualitative part of the study:
1. Adolescents aged from 12-17 years old
2. Adolescents who can communicate in English
3. Adolescents whose parents have had the illness for at least 2 years
Inclusion criteria for Quantitative part of the study:
1.Individuals diagnosed with mental illness such as schizophrenia, mood disorders and personality disorders who have adolescent children from the ages of 12-17 years
2.Spouse of the parent with mental illness or the ill parent who is stable enough to answer the questionnaire
3.Parents who can communicate in English
4.Parents who have had the illness for at least 2 years.
1.Adolescents diagnosed with any cognitive and/or psychological impairment
2.Both parents diagnosed with mental illness

Name Time Method nderstanding the emotional, behavioural and social functioning of adolescent children of parents with mental illness using the parent-administered Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire, followed by gathering qualitative information about their occupational participation.Timepoint: Since it is a cross-sectional study, outcome will be measured only at one point
