Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • Inclusion criteria for Qualitative part of the study:
  • 1\. Adolescents aged from 12\-17 years old
  • 2\. Adolescents who can communicate in English
  • 3\. Adolescents whose parents have had the illness for at least 2 years
  • Inclusion criteria for Quantitative part of the study:
  • 1\.Individuals diagnosed with mental illness such as schizophrenia, mood disorders and personality disorders who have adolescent children from the ages of 12\-17 years
  • 2\.Spouse of the parent with mental illness or the ill parent who is stable enough to answer the questionnaire
  • 3\.Parents who can communicate in English
  • 4\.Parents who have had the illness for at least 2 years.

Exclusion Criteria

  • 1\.Adolescents diagnosed with any cognitive and/or psychological impairment
  • 2\.Both parents diagnosed with mental illness
