Hypertension;
BP <160/90 on no antihypertensive drugs, BP <140/85 on two drugs, BP 140-170/90 on 1 drug.
Male or female of any age.

Compelling indication for beta blockers
Contra-indication to or previous intolerance of thiazide diuretics or beta blockers
