Phase1
Parents of typically developing children from both gender groups with a minimum of 10 years of Education
who are able to read and write English/ Kannada and withmiddlesocioeconomicstatus
Phases 2 and 3
Children with typical language development whose pure tone thresholds are below 20 dBHL and OAEs present
They should have gone to preschool with sufficient vocabulary in English
Specific inclusion criteria
Group 1(Cartoon low-exposure)
Children with exposure to animated cartoons for less than or equal to two hours/day with an exposure history of fewer than six months
Group 2(Cartoon high-exposure)
Children with exposure to animated cartoons for more than two hours per day for more than six months
Phase 1
Parents of children with sensory or developmental disorders
Phases 2 and 3
Children with any developmental disorders, temporary or permanent hearing loss, or under any medications like neuro-depressants or other sedatives
