Inclusion Criteria

1 Age from 60-80 years.

2 Males or Females.

3 ASA grade I and II.

4 Minimum educational level till fifth standard.

5 Undergoing any open abdominal surgery of two hours or more.

Exclusion Criteria

1 Refusal to consent for being a part of the study.

2 Any known allergy to the intervention drugs.

3 Any history of psychiatric or neurologic disorders or previous neurosurgeries

4 Any uncontrolled systemic disease causing an adverse effect on the cognitive function of the patient.

5 Intra-operative profound hypotension or any complication warranting stopping of the intervention agents.
