简要总结

This study investigates the short-term effects of Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) on key cognitive functions—divided attention, sustained attention, reaction time, and mental speed—among college students. While EFT has been widely recognized for reducing stress and anxiety, limited evidence exists regarding its direct influence on cognitive performance. To address this gap, 25 female students aged 19–32 years will undergo a pre-post intervention design. Baseline assessments will include the Triads Test (divided attention), Digit Vigilance Test (sustained attention), Reaction Time Apparatus, and Digit Symbol Substitution Test (mental speed). On the first day the baseline assessments will be conducted, after which participants will then receive three consecutive days of EFT training and practice, followed by reassessment using the same measures on the last day. The intervention involves tapping specific acupressure points while engaging in cognitive reframing statements. Findings from this research are expected to provide insights into the immediate cognitive benefits of EFT, offering a low-cost, non-invasive tool to enhance academic performance, reduce stress-related impairments, and promote student well-being.
