This is a cross sectional survey study conducted in Udupi taluk aiming to obtain the perception of the public and pharmacists on Jan Aushadhi Kendra. The primary objectives of the study include; understanding the public and pharmacists’ perception on Jan Aushadhi Kendras, identifying barriers and factors that encourage people to purchase medicines from Jan Aushadhi Kendras. For this study, the sample size is calculated to be 222 for pharmacists and 139 for public using statistical methods. The methodology for this study would include firstly, informing the participants about the study and their voluntary participation. Following this, a written informed consent will be obtained from all the participants. In addition, the participants will be given a questionnaire and the responses will be collected. The collected data will be analyzed using SPSS 20.0. We believe that the outcome generated from this study will help understand the perception of the two major stakeholders, that is the public and pharmacists on Jan Aushadhi medicines.
