Inclusion Criteria

  • ASA 1 and ASA 2 patients undergoing inguinal hernia repair under spinal anaesthesia

Exclusion Criteria

  • pregnant and lactating women
  • history of drug allergy to bupivacaine, chronic pain
  • bilateral inguinal hernia repair
  • refusal to consent
