Inclusion Criteria
Included will be all patients at any one time within the first 48 hours after admission to the intensive care unit, which meet a combination of at least two of the definition criteria below
Definition criteria:
• MAD <60 mmHg
• HI = 2.5 l / min / m²
• SVR <800 dynes x s / cm²
• Noradrenaline requirement = 0.2 µg / kg x min lasting for at least 12 hours
Exclusion Criteria
Excluded will be all patients with one of the following
- positive detection of germs in at least one blood culture during the observation period,
- known sepsis,
- hypovolaemia and / or
- known vascular barrier disorder
