•Patients with GCSE (more than 10 minutes of continuous convulsive seizure activity or two or more sequential seizures without full recovery of consciousness in between seizures), irrespective of etiology.
•Willing to participate.
•Age group more than 60 years.
•Not willing accompanying relatives/friends
•Patients having non-convulsive SE
•Liver failure, renal failure, cardiac disease (based on clinical judgment, available lab reports, ECG at presentation)
•Requiring urgent neurosurgical intervention.
•H/O allergy to drugs

Name Time Method Control of seizuresTimepoint: Control of seizures will be assessed in each subjects as soon as the study drug infusion is over. Subject will be continuously reassessed till primary outcome is arrived at.
