Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •Primi gravida of 36 to 42 completed weeks of gestation, scheduled for elective caesarean section by Pfannenstiel incision
- •ASA I and II
Exclusion Criteria
- •Spinal anaesthesia related problems such as failure to achieve adequate spinal level, perception of pain intraoperatively requiring opioid supplementation.
- •Intraoperative surgical difficulties such as difficulty in closing peritoneum, excessive bleeding, uterine atony or operative injuries and placement of drain at wound site
- •Any case of stillbirth or newborns requiring ICU care.
- •History of allergy to local anaesthetics or NSAIDs.
- •Any ongoing infection or sepsis
- •Midline vertical skin incision
- •Patient refusing spinal anesthesia
