Inclusion Criteria

Patients having ASA grade I and II.

Patients aged 18 - 65 years.

Patients who are scheduled to undergo lower abdominal and lower limb surgeries.

Exclusion Criteria

Patients who are not willing to give consent for participation in the study.

Patients who require duration of surgery > 2 hrs.

Patients with contraindication to central neuraxial blockade.

Patients with ASA grade III and IV.

Patients with suspected autonomic dysfunction.

Patients with hypersensitivity to tramadol,dexmedetomidine.

Patients with cardiopulmonary,renal or hepatic diseases,hyperparathyroidism,psychiatric disorder,urinary tract infection,severe diabetes or autonomic neuropathies.

Patients with known history of substance or alcohol abuse.

Patients receiving any premedication.

Change in clinical parameters( HR,NIBP,SPO2 ) during treatment of shivering in both groups and side effects,if any,of the respective drugsTimepoint: every 5 minutes till 30minutes, then every 10 minutes till 60 minutes.
