Brief Summary

The study compares the effectiveness of two Ayurvedic treatments for the management of frozen shoulder.

Treatment Groups-

Group 1 Marma Chikitsa- 20 patients of this group will be treated with Marma Chikitsa once a day for 15 days,The treatment involve specific pressure on Marma sthana .

Group 2 Sthanika abhyanga -20 patients of this group will be treated with Dhanwantara taila once aday for 15 days.

Expected Outcome-

The study aims to determine which treatment is more effective in the management of frozen shoulderr

Possible Results-

Marma Chikitsa more effective  If Group 1 shows significant improvement in the symptomsof frozen shoulder  compared to Group 2.

Sthanika abhyanga more effective If Group 2 shows significant improvement in the symptoms  of frozen shoulder compared to Group 1.

The study finding will  help to determine the most suitable treatment approach for the management of frozen shoulder.

Inclusion Criteria

• 1.Patients of either sex presenting with symptoms of frozen shoulder as mention in diagnostic criteria.
• 2.Patients age between 20-70 years.
• 3.Patients who wish to sign the written consent to participate in the study.

Exclusion Criteria

• 1.Pregnant women and lactating mother.
• 2.Patients suffering from shoulderjoint arthritis.
• 3.Patients who needs surgical care or have undergone any surgical intervention.
• 4.Patients having fracture or dislocation in the shoulder joint.
• 5.Patients having systemic illness.
• 6.Patients having NSAIDs and steroid will be considered for enrollment on withdrawal after one months of enrollment.
