Inclusion Criteria
1. Patients with Type 2 Diabetes mellitus more than eighteen years old with Body Mass Index more than 23 kg/sq.meter.
2. Glycosylated haemoglobin (HbA1c) less than 9%.
Exclusion Criteria
1.Patients having or had coronary artery disease, cerebrovascular accident, eGFR less than 60ml/min, liver transaminases(AST and ALT) more than two times the upper limit of normal.
2.Those with history of or presently having gall stone disease.
3.Those with other general medical illness.
4.Currently on or immediately requiring insulin treatment.
