Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •Consecutive 100 patients of severe traumatic injury (sTBI) aged 16-65 years (7) who will be admitted to Neuro ICU at JPNATC within 48 hours of their primary injury.
- •Inclusion Criteria:
- •1. Isolated Severe head injury patients within 48 hours of their primary injury
- •2. Patients on ventilator support wether require decompressive craniotomy (DC) or not
- •3. Aged 16-65 years
- •4. Written informed consent from next to kin
Exclusion Criteria
- •1. Patients reporting more than 48 hours after head injury
- •2. Patients with head injury age <16 years and > 65 years
- •3. Patients with known epileptic disorder
- •4. Patients with history of anaphylaxis to levetiracetam and phenytoin.
- •5. Pregnant patients
