Percutaneous tracheostomy in intensive care unit with Grigg’s technique : A prospective observational study

The thesis, titled “Percutaneous Tracheostomy in Intensive Care Unit with Grigg’s Technique: A Prospective Observational Study” investigates the incidence, timing, complications, and outcomes of percutaneous tracheostomy (PCT) performed in an ICU setting. The study focuses on critically ill patients requiring prolonged mechanical ventilation and evaluates PCT using Grigg’s technique. It aims to determine factors influencing the procedures success, including patient survival, ICU and hospital stay duration, and associated complications such as bleeding, tube displacement, and infection. By analyzing data from patients at JN Medical College and Hospital, the study seeks to contribute valuable insights into optimizing tracheostomy practices and improving patient outcomes.
