- •Resectable rectal cancer

- •Coagulopathy (prothrombin time < 50% of control; partial thromboplastin time > 50 seconds) or anticoagulantia (marcoumar or sintrom) that cannot be stopped
- •Prior pelvic irradiation or surgery
