The study selected those middle school girl students who 1) 13 years old, first-grade middle school girls, 2) had not been vaccinated against HPV, 3) were not physically burdened with HPV vaccination (KCDC: severe allergic reaction or anaphylaxis to vaccine components, immunodeficient or immunosuppressant users), 4) were smartphone owners, 5) had parental permission to participate in the study.
Middle school girls’ mothers who 1) owned smartphones, and 2) were able to communicate well in Korean and understand the questionnaire.
Those who had undergone Pap smear tests were excluded.
