Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •Inclusion criteria
- •\- Male aged between 18 and 40 years old
- •\- Specific inclusion criteria to diagnose plantar fasciitis which are composed of (McPoil et al., 2008; Yamsri et al., 2011\)
- •a.A complaint of tenderness from the palpation of the medial calcaneal tubercle and the medial aspect of the proximal portion of the plantar fascia, or pain along the plantar fascia at medial longitudinal arch side
- •b.The presence of heel pain immediately during first few steps of walking in the morning or after prolong period of inactivity; and gradually decreased throughout the day with ordinary walking; and worsened with prolonged activity
- •\- Chronic plantar fasciitis (6 weeks †24 months) (Yamsri et al., 2011\)
- •\- Maximum level of pain intensity during last week using visual analog scale (VAS) ranging from 50 \- 100 mm of 10 cm VAS scale (Yamsri et al., 2012\).
- •\- High activity person such as the person who is regularly exercise or does work causing large increases in breathing or heart rate like (carrying of lifting heavy loads, digging or construction work)
- •\- Pain at one leg (unilateral symptomatic foot) or both legs (bilateral symptomatic feet) (in case of both leg pain, the worse leg will be recruited to the study)
Exclusion Criteria
- •Exclusion criteria
- •\- BMI more than 25 kg/m2
- •\- Positive sciatica sign (L5\-S1 nerve root irritation), assessed by Straight leg raising test
- •\- Having history of lower extremity fracture
- •\- Having history of lower extremity surgery
- •\- Having been diagnosed with gout, diabetic neuropathy, rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythymatosus (SLE), cancer, infection disease and tumor
- •\- Receiving plantar steroid injection within the last 3 months
- •\- Using NSAIDs within 1 week
- •\- Tape allergy
- •\- Taking pain killer during intervention
