To be premature with gestational age less than or equal to thirty-four (34) weeks at birth and / or Birth weight less than or equal to 1,500 (one thousand, five hundred) grams.
Newborns with congenital malformations, genetic syndromes and those with congenital infections of the TORCHS group (syphilis, rubella, herpes, toxoplasmosis and cytomegalovirus). Newborns who died before the first ultrasonographic examination or were transferred to another institution due to overcrowding of the Neonatal Unit.
