older than 18 years and to have a molar tooth with symptomatic apical periodontitis
ny systematic diseases or allergic reactions, taken analgesics or antibiotics until at least two weeks, had root canal treatment to related tooth previously, had swelling or sinus tract, had severe periodontal disease, had periodontal pockets more than 3 mm, had periapical radiolucency more than 3 cm diameter in the corresponding tooth, and had root canal treatment with technical difficulty (curved roots, excessive long or short root length) or problems ( in determining working length, broken files, over-instrumentation, over-filling or incomplete filling)
