Study Overview
Brief Summary
An observational study is planned to be conducted at the Diabetic Out Patient Department, Sri Ramachandra Hospital Chennai. An informed consent is obtained from the study population. By purposive sampling method, the type 1 and type 2 diabetes patients are administered with questionnaires (GPAQ and Sleep Inventory Questionnaire for the evaluation of physical activity level and sleep deprivation. Functional capacity is assessed by 6 minute walk test. The blood glucose level, HbA1c, details would be obtained from the case sheets and waist hip ratio is measured for further analysis

Inclusion Criteria
- •Uncomplicated diabetic patients 1 year since diagnosed as diabetic.
Exclusion Criteria
- •Complicated diabetic patients (sensory neuropathy) Persons with clinically evident distal symmetrical neuropathy as symptoms and signs.
Outcomes
Primary Outcomes
Physical activity level by GPAQ Questionnaire
Time Frame: One time evaluation
Functional capacity by 6 minute walk test

Secondary Outcomes
- Sleep inventory questionnaire(Total score is 17)
