•Patients aged 1- 12 yrs of both the sexes, undergoing elective surgeries of average duration half to two hours, under general anaesthesia with ASA grade I-II and Mallampati class I&II will be included in the study.

•1.Patients refusing to give informed consent.
•2.Patients having major cardiovascular, pulmonary, hepatic, renal and neuromuscular diseases.
•3.Allergic to any study drug.
•4.Patients taking medications which interfere with NMBs - calcium channel blockers, B-blockers, steroids, anticonvulsants, frusemide, polypeptide antibiotics or aminoglycosides
•5.Those with diseases affecting neuromuscular transmission (myopathies) or family history of neuromuscular disease.
•6.Overweight patients.
•7.Children coming for emergency operations.
•8.Patients with anticipated difficult intubation (Mallampati score III and more).
