Effect of Neural Mobilisation versus Gross Myofascial Release of Upper Limb and Neck in Patients with Cervical Radiculopathy on Pain, Range of Motion and Function: A Randomized Clinical Trial

简要总结

This study will compare two physiotherapy techniques for people with neck and arm pain due to pinched nerves (cervical radiculopathy). One technique is nerve exercises (neural mobilization) that help the nerve move freely. The other is muscle and tissue release (myofascial release) that reduces tightness in the neck and arm. Adults aged 32–65 years with one-sided neck and arm pain will take part for 2 weeks. We will check changes in pain, neck movement, and daily function using standard questionnaires and tools. The study may help find better treatment options for neck and arm pain caused by pinched nerves.

入选标准

  • Patients having symptoms like radiating pain, tingling, numbness in unilateral upper limb from at least 4 months.
  • Patients showing either positive compression test, Spurling’s test, Upper limb nerve tension test or distraction test with ipsilateral cervical rotation that is less than 60-degrees Patients having more than or equal to 3 on NPRS.

排除标准

  • Traumatic neck injury, recent fracture (less than 6 months) and dislocation.
  • Tumour-causing cervical radiculopathy.
  • Diagnosed cases of osteoporosis Circulatory Disturbances Diagnosed cases of vestibular impairment demonstrated by vertigo or dizziness Hypermobility of cervical spine Pregnancy Any congenital deformity of spine like torticollis A history of cervical surgeries in the last 10 years Bilateral cervical radiculopathies.

1. Numeric Pain Rating Scale

2. Inclinometer for cervical range of motion

3. Northwick Park Pain Questionnaire
