简要总结

Childhood cancer survival is improving in India, making rehabilitation a critical aspect of survivorship care. Physiotherapy rehabilitation plays an important role in addressing treatment-related complications such as muscle weakness, fatigue, and mobility restrictions.1

Since parents are the primary caregivers and decision-makers for children with cancer, their perspectives greatly influence adherence to rehabilitation, continuity of care, and functional outcomes.

Existing literature highlights barriers to rehabilitation services including parental misconceptions about safety, financial constraints, and limited awareness of physiotherapy’s role in cancer recovery.2

Despite the critical role of parents, there is limited evidence from India exploring their perspectives on physiotherapy rehabilitation for children with cancer.

Understanding these perspectives is essential for designing effective, culturally sensitive rehabilitation strategies and improving long-term outcomes for children with cancer.
