**Background:**Hypothyroidism is a common endocrine disorder characterized by reduced thyroid hormone levels, leading to metabolic dysfunction. Ayurveda correlates hypothyroidism with Rasa Dhatu Dusti (vitiation of the Rasa Dhatu) and Agnimandya (digestive impairment), which contribute to symptoms such as fatigue, weight gain, and sluggish metabolism. This study aims to assess the relationship between Rasa Dhatu Dusti symptoms and Agnimandya in hypothyroid patients from an Ayurvedic perspective.
Objectives:
- To evaluate the presence of Rasa Dhatu Dusti Lakshanas (clinical signs of Rasa Dhatu imbalance) in hypothyroid patients.
- To assess the correlation between Agnimandya (weakened digestion) and Rasa Dhatu Dushti in these patients.
- To explore the Ayurvedic pathophysiology of hypothyroidism.
Methodology:
- Study Design: Observational cross-sectional study.
- Sample Size: A selected group of diagnosed hypothyroid patients.
- Inclusion Criteria: Patients with clinically diagnosed hypothyroidism.
- Assessment Tools: Ayurvedic parameters of Rasa Dhatu Dusti and Agnimandya, along with clinical symptoms and relevant biochemical markers.
- Data Analysis: Statistical evaluation of the correlation between Rasa Dhatu Dusti symptoms and digestive function (Agnimandya).
**Expected Outcome:**The study aims to establish a link between Rasa Dhatu Dusti and Agnimandya in hypothyroidism, contributing to a better understanding of its Ayurvedic pathophysiology. - •Patient of age 18-60 yr, having high level of TSH(Hypothyroidism).
排除标准
- •Patients having age below 18years and above 60 years All complicated cases of Hypothyroidism, myxedema, severe mental illness, thyroid cancer etc and other disease associated with endocrine imbalance.
- •Patients having chronic systemic illness.
