- •1. Acute myocardial infarction within 6 months or deep venous thrombosis/pulmonary thrombosis within 3 years before study entry 2. Active tuberculous disease 3. Poorly controlled insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus 4. Serious psychiatric illness 5. Pregnant or lactating females 6. Any of the following laboratory abnormalities: * Absolute neutrophil count <= 1.0 x 10~9/L * Platelet count <= 50 x 10~9/L * Aspartate transaminase (AST) > 5.0 x the upper limit of normal (ULN) * Alanine transaminase (ALT) > 5.0 x the ULN * Serum creatinine >= 3 mg/dl 7. Prior history of malignancies, other than multiple myeloma, unless the subject has been free of the disease for >= 3 years 8. Positive for HIV antibody
