- •Histological proven squamous cell carcinoma or adenocarcinoma of the intrathoracic esophagus or gastroesophageal junction, planned as minimally invasive esophagectomy (RAMIE/MIE) with intrathoracic anastomosis.
- •Surgical resectability, cT1-4a, cNx, cM0
- •Age = 18 and = 80
- •ECOG performance status 0 – 2
- •Written consent

- •Carcinoma of the cervical esophagus
- •Functional inoperability
- •Preoperation concerning the stomach or the pylorus
- •Esophageal stenosis at time of potential study inclusion
