Histological proven squamous cell carcinoma or adenocarcinoma of the intrathoracic esophagus or gastroesophageal junction, planned as minimally invasive esophagectomy (RAMIE/MIE) with intrathoracic anastomosis.
Surgical resectability, cT1-4a, cNx, cM0
Age = 18 and = 80
ECOG performance status 0 – 2
Written consent
Carcinoma of the cervical esophagus
Functional inoperability
Preoperation concerning the stomach or the pylorus
Esophageal stenosis at time of potential study inclusion
