Inclusion Criteria
- •Patients of alcoholic hepatitis with modified Maddrey?s Discriminant factor (DF) \&\#8805; 32
Exclusion Criteria
- •Improvement in DF with symptomatic treatment for 5\-7 days
- •Positive viral serology for HAV, HBV, HCV or HEV
- •Concomitant bacterial or fungal infections
- •Active gastrointestinal haemorrhage
- •Severe cardiovascular or pulmonary diseases
- •Neoplastic and other inflammatory conditions
