- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Detection of elasticity and relaxation behavior of brain tumor and healthy brain tissue. During resection, biopsies of brain tumor tissue and, if possible, brain tissue in the area of the access path and resection cavity are taken with tumor grasping forceps. These are examined by indentation under deformation of 8% of the sample height for their elasticity and relaxation behavior over 30 sec.
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Investigation of sensitivity and specificity for detection of tumor tissue vs. healthy brain tissue.
