Patients with a diagnosis of periodontitis will be enrolled for the periodontitis group. Inclusion criteria for the periodontitis group will be as follows: (a) presence of at least twenty teeth; (b) periodontitis with a minimum of 40% of sites with a clinical attachment level (CAL) >=2 mm and probing depth (PD) >=4 mm and (d) presence of >=40% sites with bleeding on probing (BOP).
Patients with a diagnosis of PCOS will be enrolled for the PCOS group. Inclusion criteria for the PCOS groups will be as follows: (a) PCOS diagnosis will be made based on history, clinical signs, physical examination, laboratory parameters, and ultrasound findings which will be performed by a gynaecologist and radiologist. The PCOS diagnosis was based on the 2003 Rotterdam criteria.
The control group consists of healthy women matched for age, no drugs are taken, no sites with PD >=4 mm or CAL >=4mm and with regular menstrual cycles without clinical or biochemical hyperandrogenism or PCO.

4.No history of systemic disease
5.Pregnant women
6.History of malignancy or osteoporosis
7.Prophylactic antibiotics for dental procedures in the past 6 months.
