For Iliotibial band tightness group
- Any recreational runners who run a minimum average of 15 Km per week
- Pain within two months related to IT band tightness
- Average pain level of 3 to 5 on a 10 on NPRS scale
- Positive sign in any 3 tests of the given criteria
- Pain on lateral aspect of knee, Obers Test for flexibility of IT band/Modified Obers test, Noble compression test, Modified thomas test, Step down test
- No physical limitations which may interfere with testing protocol such as fatigue, illness or dizziness
For group without Iliotibial band tightness
- Any recreational runners who run a minimum average of 15 Km per week
- No knee-related or any lower extremity related pain
- No physical limitations which may interfere with testing protocol such as fatigue, illness or dizziness
Any previous(recent) history of surgery
Lower extremity pain other than the lateral knee
Any other non-ITBS issue affecting the ability to run
