• Patients wth hyperthyroidism who are eligible for treatment with radioactive iodine
• Age > 18 years

Exclusion Criteria

• Severe ophthalmopathy
• Pregnancy or wish to pregnancy on short term
• Breastfeeding
• Patients already treated with radioactive iodine
• Known cardiovascular diseases or other severe comorbidity
