1. Patients presenting with solid tumors or mass lesions under investigation planned for a
biopsy - at any stage of TNM (for the first part)
2. Solid tumor or mass lesion proved to be cancer which is planned for upfront surgery (for
the second part)
3. Patient age > 18 years and < 65 years
4. Performance status ECOG 0 or 1
5. Patient voluntarily giving written, informed consent
6. No history of uncontrolled comorbidities such as diabetes, hypertension, or ischaemic heart
disease
1. Those patients without an obvious mass lesion.
2. Patients with ongoing or past treatment are taken for cancer.
3. Patients taking alternative/ complementary treatments.
4. Presence of medical disease such as renal or liver derangement (renal parameters > 1.5
times normal range or liver function tests > 2.5 times raised liver enzymes)
5. Pregnant or breastfeeding patients.
6. Patients with positive HIV, HbsAg, HCV status.
7. For the first part â?? biopsy planned under GA.

Name Time Method 1. To measure the interstitial fluid pressure(IFP) in various solid tumors and the corresponding normal tissues of the same organ across anatomical subgroups and compare them. <br/ ><br>2. To study the variation in IFP during phases of respiration in solid tumors.Timepoint: The outcome (IFP) would be measured at the time of biopsy and surgery.
