简要总结

This study is a randomized, parallel group,active controlled trial that will be comparing the thermal changes andanti-microbial efficacy of diode laser cavity disinfection at two differentpower settings, i.e. 1Watt and 2Watt and will be conducted in 1 centre inIndia. Primary outcome will be assessed for thermal changes and reduction inmicrobial count before and after cavity disinfection with diode laser at 1W and2W.

入选标准

  • Patient having atleast two cavitated occlusal dentinal caries No relevant medical history No clinical and radiographic signs of pulpal involvement.

排除标准

  • Patients having pain in the tooth Carious lesions involving pulp Dental abscesses or fistulas in the procedure site Children with systemic diseases, intellectual disability, psychiatric disorders.

LASER Disinfection at 1W: may lead to thermal changes and may bring about reduction in microbial count.

LASER Disinfection at 2W: may lead to greater thermal changes and may bring about greater reduction in microbial count.

  • Post- Operative Pain/ Senstivity/ discomfort(immediately after disinfection)
