- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method
- Anticipatory anxiety. The anticipatory anxiety will be assessed with a short

version (six questions) of the state anxiety scale of the Dutch version of the

STAI for children.10

- Actual distress: self report. Shortly prior to, during and after scanning,

the children will be asked to indicate their level of distress on a Facial

Image Scale (FIS). The FIS comprises a row of five faces ranging from very

happy to very unhappy/distressed. We will offer an explanation in which we use

a Dutch childlike connotation (*van streek zijn*). The children will be asked

to point at which face they feel most like at that moment.
