Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1. Lactating mothers who are willing to exclusively breast feed throughout the study period
- •2. Lactating mothers with infants less than 1 month old
- •3. Mothers who have consented and are willing to participate in all aspects of the study.
- •4. Infants with normal birth weight more than or equal to 2.5kg
Exclusion Criteria
- •1. Mothers taking medications that affect vitamin D metabolism ( steroid, anticonvulsants)
- •2.Mothers who are not exclusively breastfeeding
- •3.Mothers who are nursing multiple infants
- •4. Mothers giving birth to preterm < 36+6 weeks baby
- •5.Infants on Vitamin D supplementations
