Inclusion Criteria
All the patients between 20-80 years having spinal pathology and having spinal surgery (lumbar and cervical) in the Neurosurgery Unit, Kasturba Medical College and Hospital
Exclusion Criteria
Cases of trauma, tumor, and infection and any case in which the procedure was performed for emergency indications were excluded.

Name Time Method The outcomes studied included superficial site infections (SSI), Mobilization, sepsis, need for blood transfusions, pre and post operative pain score, duration of surgery, hospital length of stay, 30-day mortality, and 30-day readmission rates.Timepoint: 4-6 weeks
