Inclusion Criteria
First ischemic or hemorrhagic stroke at least 6 months ago.
Independent walking with or without assistive device.
Ankle dorsiflexion less than 0°at initial contact with passive range of motion (PROM) at least to 10°.
Sufficient cognition (Mini-Mental State Examination, MMSE score of 24 or higher).
Exclusion Criteria
Other orthopedic and neurological disorders interfering the ability to walk.
A symptomatic cardiac failure or unstable angina.
Uncontrolled hypertension.
