Inclusion Criteria
1.Patients of either sex aged 30-75 years.
2.Patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus who are on treatment with sulfonylureas.
3.Subjects willing to give written informed consent.
Exclusion Criteria
1.Patients with any pathology in the neck region(Cervical lymph nodes or deformities, goiter etc.)
2.Patients with hepatopathy, nephropathy, metabolic disorders like hypo/hyperthyroidism and use of systemic glucocorticoids.
3.Patients who are using Biguanides, Thiazolidinediones, insulin and statins.
4.Female patients who are pregnant.
