Inclusion Criteria
Sixty patients with a physical status of American Society of Anesthesiologists classification I, who were scheduled for elective strabismus surgery to correct intermittent exotropia were enrolled into this study.
Exclusion Criteria
Patients who had 1) strabismus other than intermittent exotropia, 2) combined other ocular diseases (e.g. nystagmus, amblyopia, and ptosis), 3) neurological or cardiovascular disease, 4) history of previous strabismus and ocular surgery, or 5) were receiving antiepileptic or other medications known to affect ECG were excluded.
