Inclusion Criteria
1. Age more than or equal to 18years.
2. All pregnant women with hypertension whose blood pressure recording are more than or equal to 140/90mmhg more than 4 hours apart.
Exclusion Criteria
1. Multifetal pregnancy
2. Women with pre-existing or concurrent Medical disorders like diabetes mellitus, cardiac disease, renal disease, thyrotoxicosis,haemophilia and chronic hypertension.
3 Absolute contraindications to nifedipine and labetolol.
4. Hypertensive women with intrauterine death at presentation.

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Decrease in blood pressure, which drug lowers the blood pressure faster and more effectively.Timepoint: every 15 minutes after giving the drugs.
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Fetal outcome, mode of delivery,complications of pregnancy induced hypertension.Timepoint: Outcome are assessed during the period of admission of patients.
