Inclusion Criteria

Women having AUB of age group 35-50 years attending Gynaecology OPD

With uterine size less than or equal to 12 weeks with no cervical, vaginal

pathologies and negative pap smear.

• Histopathological report negative for malignancy.

in case of LNG-IUS group who require contraception

Exclusion Criteria

Women with congenital anomalies or acquired uterine anomaly, intramural

and subserous fibroid >3 cm and submucous fibroids distorting uterine cavity,

acute pelvic inflammatory disease, genital bleeding of unknown aetiology,

liver disease, and known or suspected carcinoma of breast.

2) Women not giving consent

3) Women wishing for surgical management.

4) Women diagnosed with endometrial cancer.

5) Women EH with atypia, age >50 years, other pathology e.g., submucosal

myomas or polyps, adnexal abnormality, genital infection, hormone therapy or

any medication which might affect the menstrual blood loss , steroid

hormones or anticoagulants, previous endometrial ablation, diabetic and/or

hypertensive patients and

6) The patients who have thromboembolism, pregnancy, submucosal myoma

having component inside the cavity over 50% and myomas bigger then 5 cm

are excluded.

7) Not willing for medical management

8)tubectomised (bilateral tubal ligated)
