This will be a time-bound study wherein all patients in labour attending the labour ward
in their third trimester in the given five-month study period interval will be recruited in
the study (convenience sample). Only healthy pregnant women in labour will be part of
the study.
The exclusion criteria for the study will be pregnant women with any pre-existing
complications or co-morbidities like diabetes, hypertension, obesity, IUGR or any other
medical disorder complicating pregnancy.
Malayalam speaking patients will not be included.
