Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •Current diagnosis of a major depression according to the ICD\-10, this will be the following diagnoses:
- •F32\.0 Mild depressive episode
- •F32\.1 Moderate depressive episode
- •F32\.2 Severe depressive episode without psychotic symptoms
- •F33\.0 Recurrent depressive disorder, current episode mild
- •F33\.1 Recurrent depressive disorder, current episode moderate
- •F33\.2 Recurrent depressive disorder, current episode severe without psychotic symptoms
- •F34\.1 Dysthymia (diagnosed by treating therapist or doctor); a score higher than 11 on Beck Depression Inventory II (BDI\-II); sufficient German language skills.
Exclusion Criteria
- •Neurological disorder including epilepsy, diagnosed by a doctor; Acute suicidality (checked during admission); Diagnosis of a current substance dependency; Past or current psychotic episodes; Less than 8 years of school education.
