Inclusion Criteria
Patients (or caregivers) who signed the ICF, who were hospitalized in an intensive care setting after cardiac surgery.
Exclusion Criteria
Patients who underwent mechanical ventilation for more than 24 hours; patients who did not tolerate the use of the NIV mask; protocol follow-up error

Name Time Method To evaluate the oxygenation difference of patients through gasometric parameters (PaO2, PaCO2, PaO2-FiO2 ratio).;Patients who used noninvasive ventilation were better oxygenated (better values of PaO2, PaCo2 and increase in the PaO2-FiO2 ratio), especially those with chronic obstructive bronchopulmonary disease.
